Chore Sticker Charts

We use printable sticker charts to teach our kids responsibility and the idea also saves us valuable time in the morning by not having repeatedly ask our child to stick to their routine.  Here is what we do…

Kids Can Earn Extra Chore Stickers

Here is a great idea that we use to expand on our sticker chart success (see article: Chore Sticker Charts).  We initially posted an idea to allow kids to earn stickers for doing regular chores, like get ready for school in the morning.  Our printable sticker chart has 20 spots, and kids earn a sticker for each chore completed without complaining.  They get a prize or money as a reward when their sticker chart is filled up.

Teaching Kids to Manage Their Money

As your kids earn money they will have many ideas on how they should spend it.  We taught our kids to divide their money into 4 categories to learn to be responsible and how to manage their money.

Just Say NO!

Kids need to hear it…parents need to say it!  For example, kids always ask for just about everything they see at a store…Can I get this?  Can I have that?  If you always give in and say yes, two things will happen.
