Chore Sticker Charts

We use printable sticker charts to teach our kids responsibility and the idea also saves us valuable time in the morning by not having repeatedly ask our child to stick to their routine.  Here is what we do…

We have a sticker chart for our kids and you can use them for your kids, too.  You can use our printable sticker chart available at the bottom of this article for free; buy other sticker charts; or create your own using a 20 boxed grid on a blank piece of paper.  We put little pictures and fun stickers around the outside of the grid to make it fun for the kids.  There are 20 spaces for stickers and the kids earn a sticker for doing chores around the house.  For example, on a school morning, if they get dressed, brush their hair & teeth, make their bed, and get to the breakfast table by a certain time – they earn a sticker!  Once their sticker chart is filled they get a reward.  For the younger kids, we get prizes from the dollar store, but the older kids earn money.  You can set the amount of money based on your budget and the age of the child.  This saves you valuable time in the morning by not having to repeatedly ask your child to “GET READY”.  It also teaches your child responsibility to a regular task and responsibility for having and saving money.
